About the Artist

I started painting because while recovering from my traumatic brain injury (tbi), which I sustained in November of 2013, I was looking for a new hobby, as I was no longer able to run or play sports-my previous love and passion; art seemed like a good idea.

Art, painting in particular, was a great way for me to improve the strength in my right arm while having fun. I believe that my artwork, over time, shows the improvement in my strength and dexterity.  I find painting to be relaxing and calming, which is important during my recovery.  Painting is a sort of escape from my negative thoughts, due to my injury, so it makes me very happy.  When I realized that they made other people happy as well, I decided to share them with the world and even paint for others.

I invite you to take a look through my gallery and if you are so inclined, you may put in an offer for one of my pieces. The price of each painting is listed below, but offer as much as you are willing to give, knowing that all of your money, minus the cost of shipping and handling is going to brain injury rehabilitation. My goal is to donate money to the locations that saved my life, and are helping me in my recovery, to show my sincere gratitude and respect for what they did for me and continue to do for others.

While some of these are not for sale, please email me if you would like to buy a piece (aubreybaumbach22@gmail.com)

I would like to give a special thanks to St. Luke’s hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Community Rehab Care (CRC), Emerson Center for Rehabilitation

Therapies, my private therapists, family and friends, for their love and support during my recovery.

I would also like to  thank  the wonderful art instructors, staff and friends at Post Road Art!- Randi, Sue, Anne, Kira, Helen, Sandra and Andrew, Danielle!
